Sustainability

We at KRW Leipzig GmbH care about the environment. Therefore, we are continually investing in measures to minimize the environmental impact of our activities. In addition to our active environmental protection efforts, we take numerous indirect measures in the manufacture of rolling bearings and rolling bearing accessories to make our products as environmentally compatible as possible.

Our active contribution to the protection of the environment includes the following measures:

• We have equipped our entire plant area with the latest filtration and separator plants to protect the drinking water.
• We process all coolants so they can be used several times
• We filter all machine emissions.
• We collect all types of waste products for recycling or use for other purposes.

We also take many measures to protect the environment indirectly and thus further increase the sustainability of our ecosystem:

• We buy recyclable packings and use packaging material that is already made from recycled material.
• We have reduced our production plant’s energy consumption by optimizing our production processes (avoiding idle running, etc.).
• We have retrofitted areas where bright light is needed from neon tubes/halogen lamps to LED lamps.

Over and above this, our reconditioning center for used rolling bearings (also from other manufacturers) offers a highly efficient service for extending the service lives of ball and roller bearings.
