Manufacturing of rolling elements
The manufacture of rolling elements has a long tradition at KRW, not least because they are one of the most important key components for our long-life, high precision rolling bearings.
In addition to standardised cylindrical rollers in all diameter and width ratios, KRW offers barrel-shaped (so-called spherical rollers; in symmetrical & asymmetrical design) and tapered (tapered rollers) rolling elements.
You can generally specialise your order of our rolling elements regarding shape, material, heat treatment process, degree of hardness, surface coating, accuracy class, profiling, dimension, grade, grade tolerance and number of sets.
Furthermore, there is the possibility of metallurgical examinations and non-destructive testing such as Ultrasonic testing, Eddy Current testing and Magnetic particle inspection.
Customized rolling elements
KRW meets expanding customer requirements and sees itself as a project and development partner. The majority of all projects are customer-specific rolling element solutions. Depending on the application and the customer's own bearing design, specific profiles, accuracies, surface coatings and material requirements, degree of purity and heat treatment arise as a result. With the highest degree of flexibility and accuracy, KRW meets the requirements of its customers both in prototype production and in series production. Standard rolling elements are manufactured according to DIN or ISO standards. Thanks to many years of experience as a manufacturer of rolling bearings and rolling elements for a wide variety of applications, the quality of the products is above average thanks to special KRW production methods. Accuracies below the limits of corresponding DIN or ISO standard tolerances are possible.
Cylindrical rollers with a diameter of 20 mm to 190 mm and length of 20 mm to 220 mm, with logarithmic or cylindrical spherical profiling.
Tapered rollers with logarithmic profiling, a diameter of between 20 mm and 190 mm and length from 20 mm to 220 mm. Many customer requirements regarding the geometric form can be realized.
Symmetrical as well as asymmetrical spherical rollers with a diameter of 20 mm to 190 mm and length from 22 mm to 220 mm. The design of the outer-side raceway radius and the design of the end faces can be determined by the customer.
Full or hollow bodies with special surface treatment
Depending on the design of the cage guide, the rolling elements can be manufactured as solid rollers or drilled through as hollow rollers. What can also be done is fine tuning of surfaces for the production of certain surface topographies (so-called superfinishing), coating with wear protection layers (a-C:H:Me) as well as laser marking with article designations and batch numbers.
