KRW accompanies with well-founded know-how in the development of customized bearing solutions according to special requirements. Bearing concepts for a 3 cylinder crankshaft bearing
How comprehensive this cooperation can be, is shown by the calculation example of a crankshaft bearing in a MULTISAFE® pump of the German pump manufacturer FELUWA. Fig. 1 presents the three possible bearing concepts on the basis of which the investigation was carried out. The aim was to check the number of actually required central bearing position.

The original crankshaft bearing could be optimized so that in the future there is no need for the use of the previously used center bearings. This not only achieves a significant shortening of the costly crankshaft and housing, but also our customer benefits from savings in terms of material usage and assembly costs of the bearings.

In addition to project-related calculations, our engineering portfolio also includes FE analyzes, rolling bearing vibration analyzes in accordance with VDI 3832, as well as bearing reports and trials of rolling bearing components. We support our customers from bearing development to implementation.
